A routine review of our open building permits indicates we have not received a request for an
inspection on this permit in the last 180 days.
As per the adopted and amended 2015 International Residential Code (IRC) and International
Building (IBC) code Section 105.5 the above permit may have expired. Please contact this office
within 30 days to establish the status of the permit. If we do not hear from you within this time
period, we will consider the permit expired, null and void.
Once determined null and void, the work authorized by the permit is no longer allowed. It is a
violation of Colorado Revised Statues 30-28-205 & 210, IRC Section R110 and R113, Section
110 and 114 to use or occupy the building or area unless final inspections have been completed
and/or a Certification of Occupancy has been issued.
Records of this uncompleted the project will be recorded with the property records at the
Garfield County Clerk and Recorders office.
We hope to work with you to complete the project but we cannot keep the project open
indefinitely to achieve this goal. Possibly there are ways to close out the permit that leaves the
project in a safe and code compliant status.
