to the underside of the floor or roof sheathing, slab or deck above or to the fire-resistance-
rated floor/ceiling or roof/ceiling assernbly ah¡ove, and shall be securely attached thereto, tn
cornbustible construction where the û¡¡:, ¡sartittols are not required to be contrnuoL¡s to the
sheathing, deck or slab, tlre space between the ceiling and the sheathing, deck or slab
above shall be fjrebtockecJ or draftstopped irr accordance with Sections'/1f\.2 and /18.3 at
