Subject: Excavation Observation
Lot 6, Daniels/Hasenberg Subdivision
Garfield County, Colorado
Project No. GS06392.000F-305
As requested, we visited the subject site on August 6, 2019. The purpose
of our site visit was to observe subsurface conditions exposed in the foundation
excavation for the residence being constructed on Lot 6, Daniels/Hasenberg
Subdivision. CTL I Thompson, Inc. performed a geotechnical engineering inves-
tigation for the residence (Project No. GS05135-120; report dated February 14,
2008)
At the time of our visit, the foundation excavation was completed. Subsur-
face conditions consisted of natural sandy gravel with clay and cobbles. Photo-
graphs from our visit are shown on Figure 1. Based on our observations, subsur-
face conditions are as anticipated from our geotechnical engineering investiga-
tion and suitable for support of footing foundations. Loose soils in the excavation
should be removed or moisture -treated and recompacted prior to placing forms.
We are available to discuss the contents of this letter. If you have ques-
tions or we can be of further service, please call.
Very Truly Yours
