To Whom It May Concern:
As Principal Engineer of Pattillo Associates Engineers (PAE), Robert M. Pattillo acted as
Structural Engineer of Record (SEOR) for design of repairs and improvements to the foundation
system ofthe historic Canyon Creek Schoolhouse, a property owned by the Roaring Fork School
District. Periodic field inspections of the project were also conducted to veri$ as-built
compliance with the structural construction drawings. The construction work was accomplished
by Virgil Howard of Yampah Builders, Glenwood Springs, and the project architect and
administrator was Suzannah Reid of Reid Architects, based in Aspen. The project was funded in
part by a grant for historic preservation by the Colorado Historical Society.
Based on my observations, I believe that all required structural modifications were completed
and constructed in general conformance with our desigrr intent and with the County-approved
drawings prepared by our office dated May 8, 2015 (Rev. B), as clarified during construction.
