I assume the applicant mostly had the building completed when the county got involved. ln order to close out this building permit, the following items need to be addressed: Engineer's sign off on the foundation and any work that was physically covered prior to inspection. All "turn of the nut" A 325 bolting needs to be inspected and signed off by a special inspector as per Chapter 1"7 of the lBC. Usually this is done during construction after a sample of the bolts are inspected and tested' There are several firms from Grand Junction and one in Carbondale that can do this inspection and report' Final sign off by the state electrical inspector if there is any electrical. Fínal sign off by Garfield County Road and Bridge for the driveway access. As-built drawings if anything has been added other than the building shell submitted and shown on the approved plans. Final inspection by the building department to cover any areas not mentioned above. lf the land use is in place, the owner might want to get the building approved as a commercial building rather than a personalgarage. They have gone through the LUP process (we are doíng the last checklist item on Tuesday) but a condition is that they get the¡r C/O within 30 days of the t and t-tse Change Permit. This one might need to have the dust blown off it, but I think the building basically was flagged at time of C/O. Would you mind, or have Dave, pull the permit and see where we are at? This will not be a commercial building, it is staying as a garage, and they are mandated through the LUC that if they ever wat a commercial building they have to come back and get a new permit.
