r. BACKGROUND
A' on May 28, 1985, the Board of county commissioners consideredthis exemption request by the wirliams iru"t. (see staff Report,pages "?t1 -. ) . At that _meeting, following discussion with thecounty Attorney regarding th6-legalitv-oi gr.nting the reguest,the applicants were iovisei to appiy toi a sfleciar use permit fora two-family dwelling and they subsequ"rrtry withorew theirexemption request. ihese leqal- questio'ns aealt primariry withthe locaLion of two existing dwetiings o"-tr," proposed two acre1ot.
Following this meeting, discussions with the applicant, countyAttorney and.the- Planning Department established'that the optionof a special - use permit tor a two family dwelling was notapplicable. The def inition of a two-family dwelling is for 'rarrstructure, which implies rhat the tro Jr"iii"g-r.ii; have ro beattached. As a result, the appricant r.eap.pliej ioi-tt" origrnalexemption request.
