It appears we lose about 10 degrees of concrete temperature from
the plant to the jobsite when the project is one hour away and air
temperatures are around 20 degrees — our average concrete
temperature at the plant is 65 degrees. All of the above mixes
have performed very well, exceeding specified strength in 7
days.
We can add non -calcium chloride (accelerator) on the job if
you'd like, just let us know so that we may include the material
to be added on the trucks. My biggest concern will be road
conditions. It seems we are in a real transition period or mud
season. We plan to load the trucks lighter, which with the smaller
mass tends to cool the concrete on delivery faster, but will help
from damaging the road and will be safer for the trucks on the
steeper grades.

And the key will be protection of the concrete once placed,
especially in the first 48 hours — according to ACI 306R-16.
