However, before we can finalize our review and issue a building permit we need for the following items to be addressed: A. Driveway Permit — Since you are planning to cut in a new driveway in a different location from the existing driveway, you will need to contact Garfield County's Road & Bridge Dept. to obtain a driveway permit or exemption letter. After you have completed this please provide us with a copy for our files. B. Soils Report — Please provide us with a digital copy of the soils report as referenced on Bob Oddo's structural plans. C. Concrete Slab Depth — Bob Oddo's foundation plan (Sheet S-2.0) shows two different thicknesses for the concrete slab depth (4" vs. 5"). Please have Bob's office clarify the correct slab depth via an email addressed to our office. D. Seismic Classification — The proper seismic classification for this building site is category "C" (not category "D" as shown on steel building design drawings as prepared by GWB/Richard T. Smith, PE). Please have the Engineer verify that steel building design will comply with the proper seismic zone category via an email addressed to our office. Once we receive this additional information we should be able to issue a building permit for this project. Prior to issuance of this building permit you will also need to provide us with the following: ➢ Building Permit for ADU Conversion — In addition to the one-page ADU Application form already submitted, you also are required to complete a separate 2 -page building permit application for conversion of the existing cabin to an ADU, and there is a $100.00 fee required for this building permit. Please let me know if this satisfies your concerns. "Regina, Amber is no longer with our company, unfortunately. That is why I stepped in to assist with your project. I'm beginning to think there was an oversight at the building department. The Building Requirements document you sent states that the Seismic Design Category should be B or C. If you look on page 2 of your permit drawings under 'Seismic Load' is clearly states that the Seismic Design Category is C. I'm hoping this is all a misunderstanding. Could you verify with them?
