Re: Warehouse Buildings: Parachute Commercial, LLC
Travelers Highland Subdivision
Garfield County, CO.
Description of Construction: 278 Scarrow, 268 Scarrow, 39 Mosher, 189 Mosher.
The four buildings are very similar in construction.
Each single story building measures, in plan, 64'-0" north -to -south by 30'-0" east -to -
west.
Exterior wall height = 16'-0", and walls are constructed with 16'-0" high by 8'-0" wide
precast wall panels. The panels are a ribbed construction with an overall thickness of 8"
and a face slab thickness of approximately 1,1/2". The panels are bolted at the vertical
joints (@ 8'-0" on center), and expansion bolted to the top of the foundation walls.
The foundation system is also utilizes precast concrete components. The footings are 12"
thick x 24" wide x 12'-0" long. The foundation grade walls are 8" wide x 1'-6" high x
12'-0" long. The footings and grade walls were apparently assembled with common
construction joints. Foundation continuity was achieved via steel embed plates combined
with welded splice plates in the walls and footings.
Interior floors are concrete slabs -on grade. The concrete slab was not fully placed in all of
the buildings.
The roofs are framed with pre -manufactured sawn wood roof trusses spaced at 24" on
center, spanning 30'-0" east -to -west.
