Garrield tounty had no ìnforn¡atìon regarding the ÕWT$' The subject ÛWTS consists of one 1Z50-gallon, twÕ-rCImpartr*ent concrete ssptic tank followed by a sûû-gallón pump chamber with a pumpíng system. Ëffluent is pumped to a mounded soil treatnent äreâ {sTAj comþr¡s** of 6 rsws af 6 '$tandard' lnfiltrator@ chambers.r for a total af 36 chambers and 675 squåre feet of infiltrative area The septic tank is toc*1*d to the s*uth of th* existing rcsidence. The inlet side af the s*ptic tank was ****ssible irom grade with 2-feet cf risers. Levels in the septic lank appearcd t* be normal ai the tirne af our inspection. we recomnrend locating the autlet side of the septic tank and bringìng attess to grade' The pump chamber lid was accessible frcm grade. We obserued cne float. W* attempted to lìft the flo*l to aetívate the purnp, but we were not successful. We did nci abserue a high-wator float, althaugh yau had repcrted h*víng alarms in the pasi and thæ pumping system r*placed approximately 4-5 ye*rs ågo' We cauld see the \¡/ater lin* on the side of the septie tank indicating fluetuation in water levels in the septic iank, indicating the pump has b*en operating normally. We recommend consultation with Valley precast to evaluate tñe existing pun'rping sysiem anã installation *f a high-water float. You also provided a phatoçraph of the alarm lor the pump, located in {hc crawl spate in the r*sidence. We walked the mounded sTA. snow oÕver wâs pres*nt æt the time af cur inspection, limiting. aur observations. W* did nol observe inspection ports in the STÅ. We walked ths area and found no evidence of surface saturatian or failure at ihe iìms ol the ínspectiort. The area was nrounded sev*ral feet above native grade du* ta high graundwater' This evaluation is not a guarantee of fulure system performance. 1 ,standard' lnfiltrator*'¡} chambers meäsure 3',x 6.25' * '18.75 square feet Recornmendations:. Locate ouflet side af the septic tank and bring access ts grade for inspection and maintenance, ¡ Hâve pumping system evaluated and a high-water float installed. We recommend Valley Precast out of Buena Vista {7{9-395-6764}' The existing residence has 3-bedrooms. A remodel is proposed, and a bedroom will be added, resulting in*a total of 4-bedrooms. This will result in an estimaied wastewater flow for the residence of S2S gallons/day {üFD}. The CIWTS design describes a dosed {or pressure dasedi, m*unded chamber bed.
