Owner: Kate Weitz, 804 Loveland Drive, Omaha, NE 68114
Ernest Kollar Engineers, Inc. has been retained by Kate Weitz to perform structural
engineering services for the above referenced remodel project. The planned remodel may
require minor structural alterations but exact details cannot be determined until
demolition occurs.
Based on a review of the plan information and photos, it appears the wall between the
master bedroom and bath is very near the ridge line and could be structural. Timbers that
are visible in the front of the house may extend to the back over the bedroom area and
carry the rafters. If not, the wall is bearing and two headers would be required. They can
be sized once the structure is exposed. After that time, a follow up letter with additional
information will be provided.
