Altitude Septic installed the system. Tim Dyer with Dyer Electric did start up of the pumping system. Repair of the existing OWTS included the following items: • The existing 1500-gallon septic tank remained. Risers were added to bring access to grade. Existing filter was replaced with a with full size Orenco® Effluent filter. Sewer line exiting septic tank was realigned to exit the septic tank level and then drop to the new pump chamber at a minimum 2% grade. • Existing pump chamber was removed and replaced with a 500-gallon, single-compartment Infiltrator® poly pump vault. An Orenco® ProPak Pumping system and PF3005 pump was installed (based on 400 feet of pump line, 1.25” diameter, and 15 feet of elevation gain). The floats on the new Orenco® pump were set to dose approximately 90 gallons each pump cycle, allowing approximately 30 gallons of drain back after each pump cycle. The control panel for the pumping system was installed on the fence post, within line of sight of the pump chamber. • Distribution box was replaced. • The new pump was tested to assure effluent reaches the new distribution box. At the time of testing, a significant amount of sludge was flushed from the pipe. All components were replaced at the same location and elevation as existing components. The existing PureCore pump line was not replaced as part of this repair. The pump line does change elevation directions, beginning with dropping from the pump chamber, transitioning to an uphill grade toward the distribution box, and likely dropping again as the topography change to the east of the driveway before rising again toward the distribution box. With standing water in the pipe between pump cycles, this increases the risk of freezing. The existing soil treatment area (STA) also remained. The OWTS was generally installed according to specifications. This observation is not a guarantee of workmanship and/or parts and materials. CBO Inc. should be notified if changes are made to the OWTS in the future. Any additional OWTS construction must be according to the county regulations. 6-8-2020 LIMITS: Observations are limited to components that are visible at the time of the inspection. The installer must have documented and demonstrated knowledge of the requirements and regulations of the county in which they are working. The quality of the installation is dependent of the expertise of the installer, soil type, and weather conditions. Please call with questions. Sincerely, CBO Inc.
