I think this gets us to where we need to be with regards to issuing a building permit, but we will also attach a condition calling for inspector verification of filtration system installation prior to final building inspection & Certificate of Occupancy. Thanks again & as noted before you should be getting a call from Lindsay on Friday morning about permit pick-up instructions. She and Andy will be in the office tomorrow, so if you want to plan on coming by tomorrow afternoon to pick up approved plans + permit that should work. According to the Director's Determination dated July 17, 2017 (and subsequently corrected on Sept. 6, 2017) we cannot approve a building permit until our office has been provided with water quality test results and/or any necessary water treatment system(s) specifications and design as required to meet EPA drinking water standards. For your reference, I have attached a copy of this Director's Determination. Please see Condition #2 as found on page 2 for this requirement, and at your earliest convenience please submit to our office the necessary information/materials so that we can approve and issue your building permit. In the meantime, we will place this project file/drawings in our "pending" file. Thanks for your prompt attention to this matter. As you probably noticed, the well tests for Lots 6 and 7 (East Well) look good. However, the well tests for Lots 4 and 5 (West Well) shows high levels of arsenic. As a result, I will need to get a written description from you regarding the type of treatment to be installed when the units are built in order to treat the arsenic. As the Condition of Approval requires, when the building permits are submitted, they will need to include these well tests and the proposed method of treatment. So, the installation of the treatment system will be verified at building permit. In order for me to move forward issuing the Land Use Change Permits, I just need to proposed method of treatment for the arsenic on Lots 4 and 5 to include with the file. Let me know if you have any questions.
