RE: Structural Review— Single Story Shop, 2028 CR 108, Garfield County
Jeff,
As requested, we reviewed your drawing set, dated July 20, 2020, for the single -story shop to be built at the above site. The
shop is 24' x 24' square with a shed roof sloping at 3:12 to the back. The front wall is approximately 14'-6" tall and the rear wall
is approximately 8'-6" tall. The floor will be a 5" concrete slab on grade monolithically poured with tumed down thickened edges
bearing at 16" below finish grade.
We have reviewed the structural specifications of the shop against current Garfield County Building Code (2015 IRC)
requirements. We find that the structural specifications noted on the drawings are in general conformance with Garfield County
Building Code structural requirements. We have evaluated the wall heights above 10'-0" for code load requirements and find
them acceptable as noted. All other structural specifications shall be per 2015 IRC requirements.
