Brad and Gerald,
It appears the fire area for this proposed construction is greater than what is allowed for the West side of the Roaring
Fork River of 6200 sf. Please verify the fire sprinkler requirements with the Carbondale Fire District. They can be
reached at 963-2491.
Our calculation is as follows: Main Level 2623 sf, Lower Level 1858 sf, Lower Storage 786 sf, Garage 902 sf, and Decks
and Porches 663 sf. For a total fire area of 6832 sf. The contractor will need to communicate with the fire district for
the design, rough inspection, and final inspections for the fire sprinkler system.
