Michael:
We are currently reviewing plans for a new steel building to be used as Garage/Workshop for David Ralph Delaney at
131 Black Bear Road in Glenwood Springs. However, before we can issue a building permit, the following items must be
first addressed:
• Statement of Authority — Since someone else signed the application on behalf of the property owner we require
that the owner submit a "statement of authority" which provides us with written/signed authorization before
we can accept it. Please contact either Lindsay or Brooke (also copied on this email) if you should need
additional information about this.
• Site Plan — Plans submitted do not accurately illustrate where this proposed building will be located on this
property. Two different building footprints are shown on the survey by Tuttle, but neither of these matches up
size -wise with the dimensions shown on the steel building drawings. Please provide us with an updated site plan
accurately showing this building footprint size and provide dimensions from property lines, setbacks, etc.
▪ Soils Report — The structural foundation plan references a soils report, but our office has not received a copy of
this report. Please submit a digital copy of this soils report for our review & records to the email address
provided below.
Please address these missing items at your earliest opportunity so that we can finalize our review and issue a building
permit.

I am Ralph Delaney, the owner of the property at 131 Black Bear Road.
I have attached a .pdf copy of the soils report that H -P Kumar did on October 15, 2018. This report includes a soils study
for the "proposed shop building" , which was used in preparing the engineered drawings.
We are also working on the other Items you referenced in your email.

owner, give Mike permission to sign the application form on your behalf.
