On August 20, 2020, we visited the site at TBD Old Ranch Road near Rifle in Garfield
County, Colorado to observe the Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) installation
pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT -6377. At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed
a Liberty 380 grinder pump, a 1,000 -gallon two compartment concrete septic tank with an
effluent filter in the outlet tee, the new sewer line, distribution box with access to grade, and the
two mounded beds. The tank was installed level, with access brought to grade. The distribution
box was not set level at the time of our site visit. However, the contractor provided photos at a
later date that showed the distribution box set level. The two mounded beds consist of two
laterals per trench, surrounded by 11 -inches of washed gravel. Each bed is 45 -feet by 12 -feet.
In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS
Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required
regarding this permit. Please provide an As -Built drawing of the system, when available, for our
files.
