HomeMy WebLinkAboutFile Correspondence & Picturesr ÈII ff i ç l; , l a ¡ Í I t FILE NOTES Did a framing inspection at 108 Hawthorne Way for permit # BLRE 07-20-6407. The construction did not match the engineered drawing for the framing arou nd the door. The angle iron trimmers did not have bearing onto the concrete foundation wall. The owner contacted the engineer Timothy A. Hayashi and we discussed the framíng. The owner sent a pícture to the engineer and the number of screws were determíned that went ínto the trimmers on both sides of the door. Based on the discussion, the engineer determined the as build would work. See email from engíneer dated 9-8-2020. The construction was also missing the vertical rigíd ínsulation to provide a thermal break between the heated interior of the structure and the outdoors. The contractor will add the insulation and send a picture prior to the building depaftment príor to covering the insulation. I inspected for the smoke and co alarms. lt was also determined the basement was limited to a wet bar rather than a kítchen. I explained to the owner that there would be one more fínal inspection one the insulation was approved and the work to button up the walkway and final trimmíng of the door was completed.
