On October 21, 2020, we visited the site at TBD County Road 301 near Parachute in
Garfield County, Colorado to observe the Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS)
installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT -6502. At the time of our site visit, a 1,000 -gallon
two compartment septic tank with an effluent filter, the new sewer line, distribution box, and four
chamber trenches had been installed. The tank and distribution box were installed level, with
access brought to grade. The four chamber trenches consist of 11 ARC 36 chambers per row,
for 44 total chambers and a total STA of 660 ft2. The original design specified three rows of 13
ADS Biodiffuser chambers, however since the chamber substitution results in a larger STA than
the minimum required by Regulations, we do not have an objection to this change. In our
opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS
Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required
regarding this permit. Please provide an As -Built drawing of the system, when available, for our
files.
