We will require an open -hole soils report to be completed and a report available on -site before any inspections. Please continue with providing larger sized drawings. I'll work on getting the larger drawings to you ASAP... I was told that the soil report would be done upon excavation of the pool, that he'd submitted these contracts in the past when the soil is very rocky and harder to take a sample from. I am purchasing safety covers. There won't be an equipment room as there's no heater, just the pool pump...behind a shrub!? It's a private pool. I don't know what general frost protection is but will investigate... Our minimum size plan submittal requirements call for a minimum sheet size of 12" x 18" and the 8 %" x 11" sized plans you submitted are not legible enough to read even if we enlarge them up to 11" x 17" on our office copier. Please provide us with (2) complete sets of larger scale plans so that we can review & issue a building permit for your project. In addition, we need for you to provide us with additional information related to the surrounding context of the new pool/spa. Please provide us with an architectural or landscape plan illustrating the immediate surroundings of the pool/spa including: pool deck, walkways/stairs, fencing and other proposed safety measures, and the proposed finish grade elevations so that we can better understand the surrounding context and how you will be accessing the new pool/spa from your existing residence. Until we receive this additional information from you, we will place your project in our "pending projects" file. Thank you for your attention to this matter. I'm just printing a larger copy of the scale plans for the pool/spa. I was told that an automatic pool cover would fulfill safety requirements...? I don't have a deck or patio planned nor a walkway or stairs from the house, I wanted just the coping (which is part of the pool) and grass as I don't want to draw attention to the pool. Access to the pool would be across about 25' of grass off the front deck. I didn't think I'd need an architect to design anything...? The pool won't be visible from the road or any neighbors homes. I'll drop the larger images off ASAP. Thanks...
