WHEREAS, Garfield County is a legal and political subdivision of the State of Colorado, for which the Board of County Commissioners is authorized to act; and WHEREAS, pursuant to law, the Board of County Commissioners of Garfield County has appointed the Garfield County Planning Commission; and WHEREAS, Colorado Statutes at Section 30-28-106, C.R.S., as amended, authorize and require the Garfield County Planning Commission to adopt a comprehensive master plan for the unincorporated area of Garfield County, Colorado; and WHEREAS, on November, 2000, the Garfield County Planning Commission adopted the Garfield County Comprehensive Plan, Study Area I; and WHEREAS, Reserve at Elk Meadows, LLC, requested that the Planning Commission amend the Proposed Land Use Districts Map for Study Area I from Low and Medium Density Residential to Medium and High Density Residential for land legally described on Exhibit A, and graphically depicted on Exhibit B, attached hereto; and WHEREAS, the Garfield County Planning Commission conducted a public meeting on April 11th, 2007 upon the question of whether the proposed amendments to the Garfield County Comprehensive Plan, Study Area I should be adopted, modified, or whether any action should be taken on this matter; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED, by the Garfield County Planning Commission, that the Proposed Land Use Districts Map for Study Area I, is amended, by a vote of 8 to 0, to designate properties described in Exhibit A and B, attached hereto, as Medium and High Density Residential on the Land Use Districts Map for Study Area I of the Garfield County Comprehensive Plan of 2000. The foregoing resolution was adopted by the Garfield County Planning Commission on April 11`'', 2007.
