On July 30 and August 5, 2020, we visited the site of your proposed residence on Lot 8
of the Native Springs Subdivision near Rifle in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the Onsite
Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-6377. At
the time of our first site visit, the contractor had installed a 1,250-gallon two compartment poly
septic tank, the new sewer line, distribution box, and four chamber rows. The tank and
distribution box were installed level, with access brought to grade. The chamber rows were not
installed per the approved plan. We informed the contractor of the deficiencies observed during
our site visit. At our August 5 site visit, the contractor had remedied the chamber configuration,
as well as installed an effluent filter in the outlet tee of the septic tank. The four chamber rows
consisted of 15 ARC 36 chambers per row, for 60 total chambers and a total STA of 900 ft2. In
our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS
Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required
regarding this permit. Please provide an As -Built drawing of the system, when available, for our
files.
