We have reviewed the capacity of the existing septic system at the subject address and
report as follows:
1. The system has a 1500 Gal. Concrete tank and a leach field of approximately
1300 square feet based on pumping the tank and review of available records.
2. Based on your description the existing leach field was a conventional one with
gravel bedded perforated pipe. When the metal building was constructed. The
part of the leach field in conflict with the building was removed and additional
Infiltrators added along the east side of the building to augment the system.
3. The nearest water well facility is located approximately 195 feet to the north west
and is outside the regulated setback.
4. The existing residences are 2 - 1 bedroom/1 bath and the 2 existing shop spaces
have a single bathroom each.
EQUIVILANT RESIDENTIAL UNIT (EQR) SUMMARY:
1 — shop area 1000 Sq. Ft 1/2 bath
1 — shop area 1000 Sq. Ft 1/2 bath
1 — residence 1068 Sq. Ft 1 BR/1 bath
1 — residence 619 Sq. Ft 1 BR/1 bath
5. The existing septic system and leach field are adequate to provide for up to 5
bedrooms of capacity per current regulations. With the shop functions utilizing
one of bedroom of capacity this should allow for 2 additional bedrooms to be
added to the system.
