Michael,
On February 12, 2021, we visited the site of the proposed Johnson Residence on
County Road 325 near Rifle in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the Onsite Wastewater
Treatment System (OWTS) installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-6584. At the time of
our site visit, the contractor had installed a 1,500-gallon two compartment concrete septic tank,
the new sewer line, the effluent line, the distribution box, and six chamber trenches. The tank,
distribution box, and chambers were installed level, with access to the tank and distribution box
brought to grade. An effluent filter was installed in the outlet tee of the tank. The six chamber
__trenches consisted of 16 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per trench, for 96 total chambers and a
total STA of 1,152 ft2. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with
Garfield County OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County
Environmental Health is required regarding this permit. Please provide an As -Built drawing of
the system, when available, for our files.
