Structural framing was complete with the exception of the rear decl<. Electrical and plumbing systems were in place. Framing was in general conformance with the plans and specifications. Discrepancies are noted below. 2. Final roof truss drawings were reviewed. Originaltruss design used a roof snow load of 30 psf. Field modifications consisting of plywood gussets were made to on site trusses in order to bring the design snow load capacity up to 40 psf. Modifications and final truss details are submitted and stamped by a Colorado Professional Engineer. 3, Entry porch roof columns were not installed with Simpson CC column caps per plan, A hidden connection using"/o" diameter lag screws installed down through the roof beam and into the columns were utilized. An embedment length of 8 inches into the column was used. This is acceptable as built. 4. lt was noted that the girder truss at the rear of the structure was supported by a (212x 6 stud packout each end. A single 2 x 6 stud shall be added at each end under the 3 ply girder truss. 5. Dormer overframing utilized shop built trusses as noted on Roof Framing plan S1.4. lt was noted that sheathing did not extend down the top chord of the primary trusses. The roof diaphragm was built over the dormer framing, The as built condition is acceptable. G. Additional blocking shall be provided at interior bearing walls for trusses. 2 x blocks under the roof sheathing shall be installed and sheathing nailing into the block shall be 8d 6p O" o.c. 2x blocking shall also be provided on top of the wall plates and toe nailed with Bd @ 6" o.c. 823 Grand Avenue, Suite 340 . Simpson 435 clips were installed at 2x outlookers in lieu of 130 clips as specified on detail 7/55,3. The 435 clips are acceptable as built. 8. Common trusses at the rear of the structure were noted to hang from the (2) 16" LVL upper level beam. These trusses were shown to bear on a 2 x 6 wall above. The hanging condition with HUS hangers as specified bythe truss designer is acceptable. 9. The 2 ply 11.7 /8' LVL beam at the upper level was noted to be connected to the floor header wlth a top flange MIT hanger, A Slmpson HU hanger was speclfled on drawlng S1.3. The MIT hanger is acceptable as built. 10. BCI-6000 series joists were installed in lieu of TJI-360 series. This is acceptable as built. 11. Rear deck framing was discussed. Roof posts were installed and bearing on the sonotube foundations. lt is acceptable to use a (3) 2 x L2 treated beam in lieu of the 6 x 10 timber specified.
