Susan,
On May 13, 2021, we visited the Bachman Residence at 551 Elk Valley Lane near New
Castle in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the connection to the existing Onsite
Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS) pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-6454. At the time of
our site visit, the contractor had connected the bathroom from the barn to the septic tank. The
connection consists of a new 200-foot septic line with a cleanout at the barn, and every 100-feet
along the new septic line between the barn and the existing septic tank. In our opinion, this
system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. No
further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this
permit.
