On December 16, 2020, we visited the residence at 30239 Highway 6 & 24 near Rifle in
Garfield County, Colorado to observe the Onsite Wastewater Treatment System (OWTS)
installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-6505. At the time of our site visit, the contractor
had installed a 1,500-gallon two compartment concrete septic tank, the new sewer line, the
specified pump in the second compartment of the tank, the automatic distributing valve, and five
chamber rows. The tank and chambers were installed level, with access to the tank brought to
grade. The five chamber rows consisted of 16 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per row, for 80 total
chambers and a total STA of 960 ft2. At the time of our site visit, the pump control and alarms
had not been activated. On June 15, 2021, we received email confirmation (including photos)
that the pump control box and alarms had been activated by Valley Precast. In our opinion, this
system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. No
further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this
permit.
