Ground should not be on this plan. lt should just say snow load. The roof was design lor a 40 psf roof snow load, not ground load. Let me know if you have any question or need anything additional. The building code shows Ground snow loads. Garfield County has amended the code since the beginning of time to require the Roof snow load of 40 psf for the elevation of this project. The local engineers back calculate to get the h¡gher Ground snow loads. Please see amended 2015 IRC per resolution: 1"9. Sectlon R301 ls amendetl tu atld as fulluws. Table R301.2(1) FLAT ROOF SNOW LOAD REPLACES GROUND SNOW LOAD as determined by 1 Garfield County snow load based on elevation: To 7000ft.40psf 7001 to 8000ft 50psf 8001 to 9000ft 75psf 9001 to L0,000 100psf Potential unbalanced accumulations of snow at valleys, parapets, roof structures and offsets ln roofs of uneven configuration shall be considered. Minimum snow loads are in pound per square foot of horizontal projected area .All snow load roof designs are to be designed and stamped by a Colorado registered professional engineer or architect.
