Sounds good. We will process the permit for just the steel building. You might need to add some column supports in
the foundation for the future upper floor. Please check with an engineer. lt is ok to put in an ADU larger than 1000
sq.ft.. The zoning code calls it a secondary dwelling unit and the owner will need to speak to a planner.

Peryour conversation with Rob Parrington we would like to proceed with Steel building and foundation and then get a
tenant finish permit for the ADU once we get our paperwork ln order. Please let me know if this works.

We cannot review this project due to a lack of information as outlined in the building permit application
checklist. Please review this checklist and resubmit. A partial list needing clarification is the framing for the znd lloor,
deck, and stairs with a foundation. lnsulation, mechanical and moisture controlfor the proposed living area, a site
plan, and scaled drawings. Also the application is for an ADU but the plans and design are for a secondary dwelling as
defined by the zoning code.
