On September 7, 2021, we visited the site at 928 County Road 218 near Silt in Garfield
County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to OWTS Permit # SEPT-6724. At
the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the new sewer line, the new cleanout
adjacent to the building, a new 1,500-gallon two-compartment septic tank, the new effluent line,
the new distribution box, and the four-row chamber bed. The septic tank and distribution box
were installed level, with access brought to grade. An effluent filter was present in the outlet tee
of the septic tank. The chamber bed consisted of four rows of 15 ARC 36 chambers (60
chambers total, 900 ft2). The chambers were installed level. Additionally, inspection ports were
present at each corner of the bed. In our opinion, the system was installed in general
conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield
County Environmental Health is required regarding this permit.
