HiAndrew,
Understand. We're going gather together on Thursday morníng to go over your case needs as we want
to offer a clear path for you to continue forward.
Thursday is the earliest opportunity we can pull 3 heads together with our team.
Hope that is timely enough for you, we apprecíate your patience.
It's my goal to reach out to you by phone or email before I leave for the day on Thursday.
ln the meantime, can you re-attach the plans that were earlier attached to the email string..... I can't
seem to find or open those.

Subject: Re: [External] Future ADU question
Sorry about that Colleen, let me see íf I can give a quick summary.
We Filed for the original permit to build the L,250 square foot home. We had every intention of doing so
but COVID prices set us back. So my thought was to perhaps put a modular on the property as the future
ADU with the plans of building the 1,250 square foot house down the road. This lead us to the modular
1
that I sent you the plans for. The reason we went with this one is that they had it on the lot ready to go
so the thought was that I could expedite the process of having a place to call home. Now I find myself
about 75% of the way through the financing on the modular with the land and the L,250 square foot
home just doesn't seem feasible given my financial capabílities and available time have changed post
pandemic or up to thís point of the squeeze rather.so íf I can save any money in the permit process
great! lf I must start over that will be fine also. With learning that there will be no possibility of the
modular being considered an ADU in the future I believe the easiest path forward for me is to just get
the modular done so we have a home as opposed to a field. I had a dream of building a home with my
children but now geüing them a home asíde from the camper is whats required. Sorry about getting
personal, I thought my wishy washy decision required explanation.

Hello Andrew,
Forgive if l'm not yet made clear on your development plan and intentions.
We have an ACTIVE building permit receipted in May of this year for a 1.,250 square foot
stick-built structure with a permit number = BLRE-05-2L-6871,.
It looks like NO inspection have been performed to date on that ACTIVE permit and the
issued permit is due to lapse or expire in a few more days?
<image001-.png>
Do you intend to proceed with constructing that design as originally submitted and
approved?
lF so, I híghly recommend you send us a separate email asking for an EXTENSION of the
issued permÍt BLRE-05-21-6871.: include in the email your permit number, job site
address,, owner name, reason for the extension request and share that you have not
abandoned plans to proceed.
Or if have you abandoned plans to proceed with BLRE-05-21-687L, and now ask to
withdraw that permit application.....
then help me understand what you mean by the referenced "modular"?
ls that an existing habitable building structure on premises?
Or an drafted and proposed AMENDED buíldíng design to take the place of the approved
stick-bu ilt design issued u nder BLRE-05-2L- 687 L?
Or an additional future application submittal?
2
I was not part of the original conversations with Andy Schwaller and/or other staff -- so
am still "catching up".

I understand Colleen, would we be able to change the structure on the open permit and
pay the difference for plan revíew? Using the modular as the primary home? Or would
we need to cancel that open permit and submit for another?

Colleen, thank you for responding with such alacrity! I
have not excluded the utility room in those calculations.
So I suppose that gets us closer, perhaps close enough
to squeak by? lt is a PUD and it's called Asgard. Below is
our original permit number in case it helps.

Square footage limitation for ADU's is
derived from zoning regulations.

Colleen, thank you so much for
responding so quickly. I have another
question. lt looks like, per these plans
the square footage is calculated from
exterior wall to exteríor wall which puts
us over the allowable square footage of
1,000 square feet for and ADU by 90
square feet. But if we calculate actual
floor square footage then we would be
much closer. Could I have your thoughts
on this?
