HomeMy WebLinkAboutOWTS Review CommentsOWTS Permit # SEPT-7356 Review Comments Reviewed 01/13/2022 by SAM  New OTWS for new 4 bedroom residence plus Beauty Shop with 1 chair  Paid app fee.  Design and report by Boundaries Unlimited dated June 27, 2021.  Soils analysis by K&A on August 23, 2020. Soil Type 2A- LTAR= 0.5  2 soil pits were dug to a maximum depth of 7 feet. No bedrock or ground water was encountered.  Design Calculations: -Average Design Flow= 75 GPD x 2 people/bedroom x 3 + 75 gallons per 1 additional bedroom + 1 chair at beauty shop = 100 + 525= 625 GPD/0.5 LTAR = 1252 LTAR- 0.5 Factored treatment calculation= 1250 x 1.0 x 0.7= 875 gpd -FACTORED SOIL TREATMENT AREA (STA): Pressure dosed bed 1.0 and chambers 0.7  Domestic water is supplied via an existing well on the property. The water line will not come within established Regulatory setbacks (meets Regulations).  Design flow used for design meets Regulatory requirements (Table 6-1 => 4 bedrooms = 525 gpd).  The design will include a 3 chamber 1500-gallon septic tank with a 500 gallon high head pump and risers to bring access to grade.  Effluent will pressure dose to manifold at a rate of 30 gallons/120 seconds 1 times per day to be distributed to the STA. Drain Back volume- 29.5  Minimum STA calculated appropriately (875 ft2 minimum).  Design recommends 1 gravelless bed with 4 trenches 10 Quik4 chambers per trench for a total of 76 Quik4 chambers or 15 Arc 36 chambers for a total of 59 chambers (876 or 885 ft 2 total STA).  Observation ports located at the beginning and end of each trench.
