Good euestion. Keith,s phone is 970-948-3101. ln hindsight, they might be amended foundation plans. You might
remind him to amend the approved plans if that is the case.

Thanks Andy,
You wouldn't happen to recall the job address or permit number?

Keíth and I missed his last name is just getting tlre foundatiurr dug for his project. His engineer is Earny Kollar. Keith
came in the office yesterday with a set of Kollar's structural clrawings showing varyíng footer depths with a note to frost
protect with foam any footers not deeper than 3 ft. Kollar did not show any vertical foam which was added to the
foundation walls via my di3cussion with Keith and Table R403.3(L) Frost Protected Foundations.
The engineer approved footer and stem walls both below frost depth and above frost depth. I told Keith to have a letter
at the jobsite by the engineer approving the varying depth design based also on the soils engineer review of the bearing
soils. I assume this weird design is propped by the cost of concrete. I guess it will work OK but I would not do it to my
house. We might see it again.
Thanks,
Andy
