One of the most critical ítems (but not the only) is #5. An extension of the wall is not an option which would create a reorganization of the space and positioning of decorative trusses above. Please be aware that Trusfab needs verification of this as soon as possible to keep within Edgar's schedule. There are a few items that I think need to be looked at. 1. There are 2 areas that need to have roof rafters specified' a. Patio roof at Grids (C,F & t2,L4+). Flat bottom trusses in this area does not match the South elevation (L/A3.2) as drawn' b. Dining Patio roof at Grids (J,K & t2,L3). Trusses do not match the section cut (6/4a.3). 2. The bearing line on Grid (I/J) does not line up with the bearing wall of the Breezeway by !/2" the dim's on the plan confirm this. See the (L,H) trusses to verify. 3. The chimney is to pass through the girder (K2,K3) trusses so no load from the chimney or stone is applied to the trusses. a, The structural engineer will need to spec. the ladderframing between the girders top and bottom. 4. The structural engineer will need to spec. the hanger for the (J3) trusses to the flush beam at gr¡d (I). 5. The structural engineer will need to spec. the hanger for the (J1) this is a S-ply truss to the flush beam. This beam will need to be extended for the hanger, I tnint< it would be better to move where the beam starts so the s-ply (J1) truss could bear on the wall but that would change the wall in length about 6" to 8". Plus the foundation pad and post in the floor framing would need to be moved also. 6, The timber trusses in the Game / Living room must be self suppofting they can not apply any load to the roof trusses' 7. The girder truss that is shown on (S5) at grid (5) can not be a girder truss as the plate height lower for that truss, and there would not work for head height. The engineer will need to spec. a header for that location' 9, The (P) scissors trusses are 12"O.C. due to the top chord slope of 10:12 and the 8:12 bottom chord sloPe. 10. Verify that the ledgers for the (C,C1,E,F,M,M1) is L-t/z" ledger applied over L/2" sheeting. 3 a. The engineer will need to spec. the hanger for those trusses that attach to the ledger. 11, Is the beam between the Game Room/ Kitchen on grid (I) a dropped beam (top of beam 111'-0") That is what I assumed. It is important the have these items are clarified ASAP so that the framer & Edgar go over the truss layout and trusses with me, so they can sign off on the trusses to meet the production time line.
