Courtesy message for William DuBois and Tyler Mize, Cleary Building Corp
l've started the architectural and structural review of the riding arena building proposed at 456 Mid Valley Dr
in New Castle.
Need some help answering a few questions:
L What is the proposed arena's actual site elevation?
2. Could the Structural Engineer of Record with Cleary Building Corp forward an email response affirming
the roof snowload design measured from the Roof = Pf, not ground Pg?
When reading through the truss shop stamp detaíls and general specificatíon notes I see some conflictíng
information on values for the designed Roof snowload Pf. Garfield County jurisdiction has adopted a
local minimum required Roof snowload Pf = 40 PSF. Please confirm in writing to cwirth@earfield-
county.com
3. As this is a uniquely large structure, I am responsible to verify the building occupancy and use(s)
comply with Garfíeld County's adopted land use regulations and zoning requirements for the lot
location.
3.a. ls the proposed arena & stall barn intended exclusively for prívate use by the property owners and
residential occupants for the property?
3.b. ls this ís commercial barn structure intended for use by paying clients, customers, employees and/or
members of the general public? lf so, please explain (as this will help determine whether the building is
reviewed under the adopted 2At5lBC or the 2015 lRÇ as an accessory structure).
4. Request to confirm the current building structure will remain unheated with no septic system, leach
field, no finished plumbing fixtures and no wood, natural gas or LP propane fuel fired appliances or
mechanical equÍpment?
5. Does the owner Íntend the structure to have any floor, wall, or ceiling insulation installed? lf so, provide
list of insulation materíals and R-values.

Any support you can offer on questions 1-5 are greatly apprecíated as the responses will help me in
decision how the remainder of the FIELD and OFFICE COPY are stamped and redlined. I do not wish to add
conditions or requirements that pose a conflict or confusion for the buílder andlor building inspectors
during construction. Confirmation now before release will prove useful.
