We understand the back patio primary roof structure is 74'-O" wide by 24'-A" deep, with the ridge perpendicular to the house. The roof is supported by two column pairs, one pair at the mid-point of the roof and the other at the outside edge, and is attached to the house at the west edge. Low beams run column to column across the width and support the ridge at two locations. The secondary patio roof structure is a shed roof extending south from the primary roof structure noted above. This area is approximately 2O'-0" wide by 12'-0" deep, sloping away from the house to the east. This area is attached to the house along its west edge and supported at the outer east edge by a low beam spanning north-south supported by two intermediate columns. This low beam meets the primary patio roof structure noted above at the primary southwest column. Roof design loads were checked per the IRC 2015 and Garfield County amendments. For this property elevation, roof snow load is specified by Garfield Çounty as 40 psf. Dead loads of the roof assembly were assumed to be 15 psf. For the primary patio roof structure: . With a maximum span of !2'-O", the ridge beam specified as {2) Lt7/8' LVL is sufficient. . With a maximum span of !2'-O" , the eave beams specified as (2) L1 7 /8" LVL are sufficient. . With a maximum span of !4'-O" , the two cross beams specif ied as (2) 11 7 /8" LVL are sufficient. . With a span of approximately 7'-0", the rafters specified as g /2" TJI 210 @ 24"o,c. are sufficient. For the secondary patio shed roof structure: . With a maxímum span of !2'-O", the eave beam specified as (2) 11.7/8" LVL is sufficient.. With a span of approximalely !2'-O", the rafters specified asg /r" TJI 210 @ 24"o.c. are sufficient.
