The AMENDED PLAN sheets were received in our office at l-L:30 am this morning.
Trust I will begin working on them as soon as I am able - and I will call or email lF I have further questions.
As soon as I finish marking up plans, l'll transport to the Community Development Department front desk where Brooke
Wínschell or Sam lrmen will perform their remaining administrative procedures to prepare íssued permit documents and
permít invoices.
Brooke or Sam will contact you WHEN the permit is made ready for pickup.
Please allow us this tíme to finish working on your project so we can release ít for you.

Please find attached 2 revised Architectural Sheets showing the following change
A vestibule was added to act as an airlock and interveníng room between a sleeping room and a garage.
The door schedule was modified.
The revised sheets are stamped and dated with the change indicated withín a red revision cloud
I have also íncluded smaller 8 1.5 x 1L graphícs of the same.
I appreciate your ínput and please let me know if anything else is required.

Hello Jeff,
Yes, if you cãn create an intervening R-3 occupancy hall with another interior door leadíng to the bedroom, that would
abate the opening directly from garage to bedroom. l'll need clouded architectural {and related structural framing
changes for the affected pages. I do not want to receive full new plan sets (as l'm 90% done with redlines. Just wanted
clouded sheets for the related page(s). Thanks!

Courtesy update for the Kharkhal Duplex Project Team:
The building architectural and structural plans are currently under review and have one comment for your
consideration and feedback, as follows:

A2L Main Floor Unit 2 depicts a 20 minute fire rated door leading from UNIT 2's two stall garage into an
adioining room space labeled "guest bedroom".
Under 2015 lnternational Residential Code lRC, Section R302.5.1 no openings are permîtted between a
gcrrage and rooms used for sleeping.
We interpret the 20 minute fire-rated door as an opening into space intended for use as a
bedroom. Encourage one of the following:
(1) Delete the 20 minute door in the garage while retaining the second man door from the garage and
interíor mud room, whíle the bedroom remaíns fully accessible from the R-3 residential living quarters
(2) Retain the 20 minute door in the garage, and amend the plan drawings to illustrate a change in room
space in the guest bedroom. The subject floor plan changes will be accompanied by a CONDITION OF
PERMIT prohibiting the living space for future use as a bedroom.
l'm betting you'll prefer to go with OPTION (1) - but I will defer to the project team to discuss and offer
direction how you would líke to proceed.
lf there are no resulting structuralframing changes to your plans, with your permission, I can RED LINE OR
STRIKE OUT on archítectural sheet A21any garage door openings you chose to delete from the work scope.
