Parcel lD: 21 27 -244-00-382 sitTE coNDtTtoNs The property is currently undeveloped. A 3-bedroom residence is proposed. The residence will be served by a well on the property. The well ir¡ located to the southvvest of the proposed residence. The well is located greater than 5O-feet from the proposed septic tank and greater than 1O0-feet from ther proposed soiltreatmr¡nt area (STA). The water line will not comerwithin 10-feet of the proposed septic t¿rnk or 25-feet of the proposed STA. The proposed STA has an approximate ten percent slope to the sr¡uthwest. The proposed area is vegetated with sparse native grasses and tnees. There slrould be no tnaffic or staging of m¡rterial over the future $TA site to avoid compaction of soils priorto construction of the STA. SUBSURFACE The subsurface was investigated on March 2,4,2022 by digging one soil profile test pit excavation (Test Pit) A visual and tactile soil analysis was completed by Carla Ostberg at the time of excavation,1 Only one test pit was excavated due to difficult digging. 1 Carla Ostberg holds a Certificate of Attendance and Examination from the CPOW Visual ¡and Tactile Evaluation of Soils Training. Page 2 Borings were dr¡lled for the purpose of a subsoil study for a found¡¡tion design. A report from Kuman and Associates dated February 1,2022, Project 21-7-925 is enclosed. Elorings extended beyond 2O-feet and soils in both borings w¡re described as sand iand clay, silty, gravelly clay lenses, medium dense, stiff to very stiff, slightly moist to moist, tan. The materials encountered in Test Pit #1 conr;isted of light brown sandy loam with some large (3.O-feet in diameter) rocks to a maximum depth explorerd of 5.S-feet. No bedtock or gtoundwater was encountered. A sample of the soils u¡as taken from Test Pit #1 at2. to 3-feet below grade. Soil structure grade was moderate. The soilformed a ball and a ribbon less than '1-inch in length br¡fore breakinç¡. Soilstructure shape was single-grain to blocky with loos¡e to friable consistence. Soil te¡fure was gritt'y. Some large rocks made digging difficult. Wr¡ are proposing a shallow, prerisure dosed system to minimize excavation. STA sizing is based on SoilType 2, Sandy l-oam with moderate sl.ructure grade. A long term acceptance rate (LT/\R) of 0.6 gallons per square foot will be used to design the STA. tt 1 Area of proposed STF, ;.-..
