Claire and Richard,
On August 19, 2022, we visited the residence under construction at 556 Callicotte Ranch Road
near Carbondale in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to OWTS
Permit # SEPT‐7167. At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the cleanout adjacent to
the house, the new sewer line, the new concrete 1,250‐gallon two‐compartment septic tank with an
effluent filter in the second compartment of the tank, the effluent line, the distribution box, and 756 ft2
of Soil Treatment Area (STA). The STA consists of three trenches of 21 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per
trench (63 chambers total). The new tank and distribution box were installed level with access to grade.
In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS
Regulations. Please submit an As‐built drawing of the system when available. No further action or
review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this permit.
