At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the new sewer line, cleanout, a 1,500-gallon two-compartment poly septic tank, the high-head pump in the second chamber of the tank, the new pump line, the new automatic distributing valve (ADV), and the three unlined sand filter beds. The septic tank and ADV were installed level, with access brought to grade. The ADV was set at the high point of the system. The three unlined sand filters were level, and each consisted of three distribution laterals constructed of 1.5-inch diameter Schedule 40 PVC. The distribution laterals ended in a 90-degree bend with a flushing valve and were placed on clean, washed gravel. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required regarding this permit. We have received a ”Construction Approval Letter” from the design engineer, but not an As-Built drawing. Please provide an As-Built drawing of the system, when available, for our files.
