THIS SHEET IS PART OF A CIVIL ENGINEERING DESIGN COMPRISED OF 11 SHEETS,
WITH ACCOMPANYING REPORTS AND SUPPORTING INFORMATION. THE INSTALLER
SHALL REVIEW THESE DbCUMENTS AND BECOME FAMILIAR WITH THEM PRIOR TO THE
CONSTRUCTION OF THIS ON -SITE WASTEWATER TREATMENT SYSTEM (OWTS).
THE INSTALLER SHALL BE APPROVED BY GARFIELD COUNTY AND SHALL CONFORM TO
ALL COUNTY REGULATIONS. ALL COMPONENTS OF THE OWTS SHALL MEET
APPLICABLE REGULATIONS,
THE INSTALLER SHALL NOTIFY GARFIELD COUNTY ENVIRONMENTAL HEALTH AND THE
CIVIL ENGINEER AT LEAST THREE DAYS IN ADVANCE OF THE OWTS INSTALLATION SO
THAT THE REQUIRED INSTALLATION OBSERVATIONS CAN BE MADE OF THE SEPTIC
TANK, SOIL TREATMENT AREA, AND RELATED COMPONENTS BEFORE BACKFILLING.
THE SEPTIC TANK AND SOIL TREATMENT AREA INSTALLATIONS SHALL BE
SUBSTANTIALLY COMPLETE AND READY TO BE BACKFILLED PRIOR TO REQUESTING AN
OBSERVATION.
THE OWTS SHALL BE INSTALLED IN ACCORDANCE WITH SGM PLANS, DETAILS AND
SPECIFICATIONS, AND MANUFACTURERS' RECOMMENDATIONS. SUBSTITUTIONS OF
COMPONENTS OR MATERIALS WILL NOT BE ALLOWED WITHOUT THE WRITTEN
APPROVAL OF THE CIVIL ENGINEER. INSTALLER SHALL PROVIDE CATALOG CUT WHEN
REQUESTING SUBSTITUTIONS.
ALL ELEVATIONS GIVEN ARE RELATIVE TO NAVD88. THE INSTALLER SHALL DETERMINE
ALL ELEVATIONS AND DIMENSIONS AT CRITICAL TIE-IN POINTS IN THE FIELD.
QUESTIONS ON VERIFICTION OF CRITICAL ELEVATIONS SHALL BE DIRECTED TO THE
ENGINEER.
THE SOIL TREATMENT AREA (STA) SHALL BE PROTECTED FROM COMPACTION.

LL BE KEPT OFF OF THE STA AND VEHICLES SHALL NOT BE
PARKED ON THE STA. DUMP TRUCKS AND HEAVY TIRED VEHICLES SHALL NOT BE

BE REMOVED AND REPLACED WITH SAND.
ALL PVC PIPE CONNECTIONS SHALL BE SOLVENT WELDED, UNLESS OTHERWISE
SPECIFIED.
ALL RISERS, VALVE BOXES, AND HAND HOLES SHALL EXTEND 2 INCHES ABOVE
SURROUNDING FINISHED GRADE. SOIL SHALL BE BUILT UP AROUND RISERS AND
SLOPED AWAY FROM RISERS AT A 2% MIN. SLOPE; SLOPE TO DAYLIGHT.
SEWER PIPE AND EFFLUENT PIPE SHALL BE PROPERLY BEDDED PER THE TRENCH
DETAIL PROVIDED ON SHEET C10.
REVEGETATION OF ALL AREAS DISTURBED FOR OWTS CONSTRUCTION SHALL BE
SEEDED PER COUNTY REGULATIONS. SEEDING SHALL BE THE RESPONSIBILITY OF
