OWTS Permit #: SEPT-7643
November 22, 2022
James,
On September 2 and 8, 2022, we visited the Clausen Residence at 17603 Highway 82
near Carbondale in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to
OWTS Permit # SEPT-7643. At the conclusion of our site visits, the contractor had installed the
new poly 1,250-gallon two-compartment septic tank, the new effluent line, the distribution box,
and the two, two-row gravelless chamber beds. The septic tank was installed level with access
brought to grade. An effluent filter had been installed in the outlet tee of the septic tank. The
beds were level. The beds consisted of two rows of 10 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per row (40
total chambers, 480 ft2 total additional STA). Additionally, inspection ports were present at each
end corner of each bed. Accounting for the existing 788 ft2 of existing STA, the total STA on the
property now consists of 1,268 ft2. In our opinion, this system was installed in general
conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. Please submit an As-built drawing of the
system when available. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health
is required regarding this permit.
Thank you,
