New Castle, CO 81647
OWTS Permit #: SEPT-7241
November 22, 2022
Diane,
On September 19, 2022, we visited the ADU under construction at 1773 County Road
241near New Castle in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant to
OWTS Permit # SEPT-7241. At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the new
sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the ADU, the new concrete 1,000-gallon two-compartment
septic tank with a low-head pump in the second compartment of the septic tank, the new pump
line, the manifold, and the three-row chamber bed. The septic tank and manifold were installed
level with access brought to grade. The chamber rows in the bed were level. Each row
consisted of 4 ARC 36 chambers per trench (12 total, 180 ft2 total STA). Additionally, inspection
ports were present at each corner of each bed. In our opinion, this system was installed in
general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. Please submit an As-Built
drawing of the system once it is available. No further action or review from Garfield County
Environmental Health is required regarding this permit.
Thank you,
