Subject: Pi-elirninary Geotechnical Study, Zinko Property, Midland Avenue,
Glenr¡,ood Springs, Colorado
Dear Mr. Rose:
As requested by you, rve have stopped !Íork on the geotechnical study for the proposed
development at the subject site. We have cornpleted the field exploration and'geologic
evaluation ¿sselding to ourptoposal forplofessional services with you dated lwe27,
2005.'
The subsurface exploration and laboratory test results completed for the study are
attached as Figures I tluough 7 wñTable 1. Thè geologicevaluations ofpotential
rockfall and dehris flow impacts ánd feasible rnitigation methods havenot been
completed but ourpreliminary findings have been transmitted to Ron Liston. An earthen
strucfure and basin located above the uphill proposed structures should be feasible with
site constraints. Structural slab (mat) foundations will probable be feasible for the
building support, A pile foundation that extends down to the densg river.tenace alluvium
may also be feasible but thepiles could beup to aborit 70 feet long.
We rvill be available to continue on theprojeÞt when requested. Wehave enclosed our
invoice for services performed to date, If you have any questions, please let me know.
