l'm currently reviewing your building plans for pergola project at 68 Bald Eagle Way and have questions.
1. Site plan shows 3 exísting wood framed pergola projects, one in the front yard and two in the
back yard.
1.a Where will the new pergola be placed? The new pergola will be placed in the main backyard
space (on the left as you are looking at the backyard)
1-.b. Wall one or more wood framed pergolas be demolished and replaced with the subject metal
pergola? The wood framed pergola on the main backyard will be replaced with the metal
pergola.
I need to verify the new pergola projections will remain within the approved, platted building
envelope. The new pergola wíll exactly replace the current pergola, within the platted building
envelope.
As submitted, it is not clear where new work is occurríng on the lot.
Please email an updated site plan clearly highlighting or labeling the location of new work, email
site plan to cwírth@garfield-countv.com. Dominique will need to help with this.
2. The submitted pergola plans indicate a Professional Engineer will be obtained to oversee and
ensure the pergola is structural sound and meets local codes, however, no Engineer of Record is
named on the application form and no engineers wet stamp is included on framing
details. Domínique will need to answer the below questions
3. 2.a. Who ís the Structural Engineer of Record? Provide Name, Colorado PE license number,
phone and email contact.
2.b. \nilill any new footing / foundatíon columns be installed? lf so provide PE Engineers detail.
2.c. Will the pergola structure be positively connected / otherwise fastened to exísting poured
patio or front entry slabs? lf so provide PE Engineers detail.

2.d. The plan details are currently silent on roof snow load, wind design, foundation soil bearing
and/or compliance with the 2015 lnternational Resídential Code. We ask the Colorado licensed
structural engineer of recorcl to supply general speciflcation notes assuring the structure meets
Garfield County Colorado's currently adopted codes.
