Thank you John,
In order to formalize this, you are saying I should write a letter requesting an extension and submit
to you, correct?

Patrick,
After the permit is issued, you have 180 days to call in an inspection and then have at least one
inspection every 180 days to keep the permit active.
Extension are allowed, they have to be in writing and giving an acceptable reason… Which you have.

Hi John and Brooke,
I just wanted to check in and see how long I can keep this permit open.
We understand that we cannot build during the restricted Heron Nesting period. But, we have a
contractor, financing and are ready to start as soon as we are allowed to on June 1st.
Thank you,

Patrick,
Based on the plat note an EPA Clean burning appliance is allowed.
The restricted disturbance time is in the PUD Requirement. You would need to amend the PUD to
allow year-round construction. Based on the e-mail provided, it looks like you have backing by DOW.
You would have to get with the Planning Department to work on getting the PUD amended.
Sorry if a permit slipped thru the cracks and got issued without the PUD Notation…

Subject: Permit BLRE-05-22-7544 Conditions of Permit questions
Hi John,
After picking up our permit last Friday morning, I had a couple of questions regarding our Conditions
of Permit.
1. We received correspondence from the Ironbridge DRB that Plat note 6(part of condition 10,
attached) is no longer enforceable from their standpoint. Attached is an email
correspondence Between Ironbridge DRB, and our contractor Jay Billington in regards to this
note. Jay also provided a prior correspondence with DOW John Groves allowing him to work
on a similar Lot(96) during the restricted months.
Can our project receive a construction restriction variance based on the attached letter and
the previous Single Family construction project at Lot 96 being allowed during these
months?
2. We are looking for clarification, on Ironbridge Plat (phase 1, 2004) note 10(part of condition
10 for our permit). “No wood burning stoves or solid fuel fireplaces allowed within Ironbridge
PUD…”. But, according to Ironbridge (amended final plat, block 2 of phase 2 2014) Plat note
14. “NO open hearth, solid-fuel fireplace will be allowed anywhere within the subdivision. One
(1) new solid fuel burning stove as defined by C.R.S 25-7-401, ET. SEQ., and the regulations
promulgated thereunder, will be allowed in any dwelling unit. All Dwelling units will be
allowed an unrestricted number of natural gas burning stoves and appliances.”(plat is
attached for reference)
Via phone, Brooke told me that our submitted wood burning stove from Vermont Castings
was approved during permit review, but I would like to double check because it appeared on
“Conditions of Permit” note 10 as well.
Thank you!
