CMH Homes,
On January 9, 2022, we visited the site of the residence under construction at 2546
Mineota Drive near Silt in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant
to OWTS Permit # SEPT-7298. At the time of our site visit, the contractor had installed the new
sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new poly 1,500-gallon two-compartment
septic tank, the new effluent line, the distribution box, and six gravelless chamber trenches. The
septic tank and distribution box were installed level with access brought to grade. An effluent
filter had been installed in the outlet tee of the septic tank. The trenches were level. The
trenches consisted of 17 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per trench (102 total chambers, 1,224 ft2
total STA). Inspection ports were present at the distal end of each trench. In our opinion, this
system was installed in general conformance with Garfield County OWTS Regulations. Further,
we received an “As-Built Certificate of Inspection & Acceptance” from the designer, Westwater
Engineering, dated January 5, 2023. No further action or review from Garfield County
Environmental Health is required regarding this permit.
