On March 28, 2023, we visited the site of the Flowers Residence under construction at
533 Cattle Dr near Silt in Garfield County, Colorado to observe the OWTS installation pursuant
to OWTS Permit # SEPT-7510. At the time of our site visit, the owner had installed the new
sewer line and cleanout adjacent to the residence, the new poly 1,000-gallon two-compartment
septic tank, the new effluent line, the distribution box, and the two gravelless chamber trenches.
The septic tank and distribution box were installed level with access brought to grade. An
effluent filter had been installed in the outlet tee of the septic tank. The trenches were level, with
4-feet between the trenches. The trenches consisted of 22 Infiltrator Quick4 chambers per
trench (44 total chambers, 528 ft2 total STA). Additionally, inspection ports were present at each
end of each trench. In our opinion, this system was installed in general conformance with
Garfield County OWTS Regulations. Please submit an As-built drawing of the system when
available. No further action or review from Garfield County Environmental Health is required
regarding this permit.
