Building permit application

We have applied for a permit to construct a steel building. At a later point in t¡me we will submit a separate application
to build a residence in the steel building. Our current application is only for construction of a steel building with associated
infrastructure (water supply, OWTS, electricity, LP drain, floor drains). The plumber will provide a LP drain for potential
future use.
Following are my responses to your questions.
Item #1 -- Yes
Item #2 - The only non-applicable page of the originally submitted stamped plans would be the foundation detail as a
new foundation detail was
provided by our third party engineer.
Item #3 - This has been addressed by Studio M Engineering.
Item #4a - The building will be supplied with a potable water intake. Drains will be provided for the to-be-built
residence inside the building.
Item #4b - All drains will tie into the adjacent onsite wastewater treatment system. No drains will drain separately out
to daylight.
Item #4c - Yes
Item #4d - Plumbing will be roughed in for a future shower, toilet, bathroom sink, washer, refrigerator icemaker, kitchen
sink and garbage disposal, and
electric water heater.
Item #4e - Yes
Item #5 - lnsulation will be applied to the exterior foundation wall to a depth of 2 feet or more with an insulation value
of at least R10.
Item #6 - The metal building, as constructed, will initially be used only for storage. Following later submission and
acceptance of a residential building
permit application, a residence will be constructed in the north portion of the building. The intent is for me to
occupy the finished
residence/sto rage build ing.

My responses are in Red. The unanswered questions should come from the owner. I spoke to him Friday. He was out of
the country.

t. tncluded in the resubmission is MS lmpact Steel Building Solutions Sheets 1-28 (Job No MPA1
90259104). Are we correct in understanding each of Sheets L-28 stand and remain same (as originally
submitted on June 26,2023) and still reflect the amended or newly intended project scope? Confirm

Z. Also included in the resubmission are AllAmerican Act Building System stamped drawings by Kyle
McDonough, PE dated g/L4/2022 and sheets labeled L of 13, 2 of 13,3 of 13 ...13 I L3. Please identify
which of sheets t / L3 are to remain part of the resubmitted plan sets? And please identify which
sheets are to be "deleted", "removed" or otherwise marked 'N/A" to the new project build? As the
resubmission includes a new set of structural drawings by Mic Baca, we are asking if perhaps Kyle
McDonough PE sheets 12 / L3 and L3 / 13 are duplicative and old or errata for the current steel
building's general notes and foundation design? Please explain or confirm.
3. Also included in the resubmission are newly stamped structural plan details from Mic Baca of Stud¡o M
dated 5/25/2023. Unfortunately -- in the printing of the 18 x24 dimension sheets -- Mic's page
number has been "cut off'. Please help confirm:

6. To best ensgre we correctly apply appropriate code sections to the structure, please have the property
owner(s) / future building occupant(s) express in writing whøt the intended building use or buílding uses wìll
be? (September 2022 geotechnical investigation documents reference steel building no gatage and future
living rpãc", however we understand some unknown work scope has been eliminated? While metal or steel
building expresses the construction materials proposed to be installed, that term stays "silent" on how occupants
intend to use and occupy the space. Your written replies on intended building use(s) will be stapled to the
issued FIELD and OFFICE COPY and will further help facilitate data entry into the building folder's public file
records. )
