Dear Scott:
As requested, a representative of Kumar & Associates observed the pier drilling at the subject
site on }il.ay 22,23,24 and 25,2023 to evaluate the piers for foundation suppoñ. The findings of
our observations and recommendations are presented in this report. The services are in
accordance to our agreement for professional services to Scott Young dated May 5, 2023.
We previously conducted a subsoil study for design of foundations at the site and presented our
findings in a report dated April 14,2017, Project No. 17-7-207. The proposed construction is
similar to that discussed in the previous report. The building has been dôsigned to be supported
on drilled piers as recommended in the report. The design by Glenwood Structural & Civil, Inc.
dated April 19,2023 consists of 57 twelve-inch diameterpiers each reinforced with three No. 5
vsrtical reinforcement bars, and design of 10 to 12 reetbedrock embedment.
Concrete was placed with a pump truck. Water was encountered in some pier holes in which the
tremie method was used for concrete placement. The piers were installedãs per the plans by
Glenwood Structural & Civil, Inc. dated Apnl19,2023.
